Art from waste!

I make useful of myself sometimes. I made this foot mat out of old clothes. Required items are any old cloth, in good condition or worn out, crochet hook - bigger size the better, scissors and your precious time.

step 1 : cut the cloth as long stripes of 1 to 1 and half inch, if stripes are not continuous, make a knot at ends of stripes.

Row 1 : With crochet hook, make a chain of 5. Make a single chain with chain 1, to make a circle.
Row 2 : make two chain, then in each chain in row 1, make two half-double crusades.
Row 3 : make two chain, then in each chain in row 2, make two half-double crusades.
Row 4 : make two chain, then make a single half-double crusades in chain 1, then two half-double crusades in chain 2. Make sure that alternate chains having two half-double crusades.
Row 5 and 6 same as Row 4.
You can have more rows, if you want a bigger one.
we can use this as foot mat, floor mat in children play area,  table cloth, or as you wish depends on your requirements.

Heavenly marriage 3

In Marriage, why is there the differences on whatever formalities from girls side and boys side? Girl's parents are spending effort as much as the boy's parents or much more. Its an open question to both educated and uneducated, rich and poor. Have you ever thought about that? Is that necessarily necessary to follow those? And who the hell gentlemen set those and who are they to compel others to follow? And what if not followed any more, who are there to cross-check?

Come on yaar, your beloved spouse and family is emotion filled, not an ATM. When you start thinking your spouse family as your own family and spouse parents are yours, they become a part of your responsibility, then why to hurt and spoil the relationship just because of money and indirect money related things?

What-if marriage procedures are commonly standardized, fixed and everybody might follow that. Prayers to God may be done according to your religion, its upto you and God, to give and receive. But marriage procedures can be standardized. Its in the hands of youngsters.

How about a marriage happens like this:

Choose spouse with good character
Bride’s family gets new clothes for themselves
Bridegroom’s family gets new clothes for themselves
Get married in register office with your very first circle relatives and take vow in front of your parents and grand parents.
Distribute sweets among yourselves
Take snaps
Go to temple according to your religion
One time feast-lunch or dinner, to all invited relatives, friends during reception party
No dowry in any form – jewelry, precious materials or articles, cash, house-hold things, vehicles, property, etc..
Just two hearts are united to be a family, filled with happiness, supported by two families.
Whenever your spouse's parents are in need, just be there even before they think they need you.
Don't expect any formalities from spouse's parents, ofcourse they are yours too.

Might this lead to Heavenly Marriage?!?!

Passport Renewal

I was happy when I saw my passport size photo on my 'PASSPORT'. Or even I can say I was proud since I was the first to hold a passport in my family. I got to use it for ID proof. Not a chance to travel a distance.

Like Passport, does our life has any specific purpose or to declare, what we did with life is the purpose??

To give a new life to my expire-soon Passport, decided to spend time, effort and money hoping at least this new one would show me a part of world. There are 2 things need to be shared, upon passport renewal, which is not specified in official website. Might be useful for anybody who seeking for renewal info.

  1. If bank pass book – joint account is provided as proof, then if applicant is single then joint account has to be with parents. If applicant is married, then joint account to be with spouse, otherwise it’s not accepted as proof
  1. If spouse passport is provided as your address proof, then spouse passport should already hold your name as spouse name.

Few Ones Among Us Makes Time

Am following a blog Nisaptham since some time. Blogger Mr. Vaa.Manikandan, IT-software employee,  has an excellent skill of writing in Tamil. He blogs on whatever comes to his mind to share with the world. The flow is very natural, very simple, open and broad-minded, makes his point of view very clear, that keeps readers inviting to his blog. He has published few books on short stories/articles, that has a good traffic of audience.

And you know what he does with the money his books get him!

He just donates all of them to the needy people thru his trust. His blog art brings him a lot of sponsors to his trust. Donation lists sports items to schools, part of surgery bills, etc. Impressive part is, he makes sure each paisa reaches the people who really struggles to afford and all debts and credits to trust account, is open to all sponsors(See here). This transparency is his strength and success.

There are lot of us willing to donate money, but hesitate just because we don't know it really reaches for the real purpose, as there is no sufficient time to go check in person. I beleive people like this Gentlemen help us to come out. So he does blogging, maintain Trust/account, put effort whatever is required to make sure of the needy situation is real, writing + releasing his books along with the full-time employment and family to take care. Wondering, how he gets time for all these!

There are people like him who Makes Time for what drives them lively on earth!
Hats-off  to Mr. Vaa.Manikandan!

How old are you

It happend to read the cine news that actress Jyothika is going to act in a malayalam remake movie How old are you. Curiosity is with me then to know the story of the movie. Watched the malayalam movie myself. Its fantastic! the story line, picturization, actors performance, etc. are very excellent. so inspirational! everybody should watch this one. yep, there are few things that wont happen in real time but in big screen alone.

The fact is that "Believe yourself, Know what you do, Step one ahead - your invisible ladder just fell in your path " Wow! What a message!
